Linda Aksomitis is an award winning, internationally published author of 30+ books in numerous genres. Linda’s books span the range from textbooks (Guide to Becoming a Library Technician) to high interest/low vocabulary nonfiction (Science Solves it All: Sports Champions). Two of her young adult novels have been finalists in the Saskatchewan Books Awards, and her western juvenile novel, Longhorns and Outlaws, was a winner in the Foreward Magazine Awards, presented in 2008 in New York at the Book Expo. As an Instructional Designer at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Regina, Linda draws on her eight years of experience teaching the Library Technician program, as well as Business courses, for Credenda Virtual College. Linda also teaches three online courses, Introduction to Internet Writing Markets, Publish and Sell Your E-Books, and Write Effective Web Content through the community college network in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, and Europe. Previously, Linda spent five years as an instructor for the Connecticut college program, Writing for Children, teaching both the introductory and book writing programs. Currently, Linda lives in the town of Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan, although she spends a lot of time through the year visiting many locations as a travel writer, and creating content for her travel blog / online magazine, guide2travel.ca. She has presented sessions in the U.S., Sweden, and the Philippines for the travel writing organization, TBEX. Speaking engagements have also taken her coast to coast in Canada over the years.
